Its been a while since a software called Empathy came up as the answer in linux for GTalk on Windows. This software is still in development stage, however it is showing good potential and it is already in the repositories of Ubuntu. Ever wondered or seen people chatting with you in Google Chat or Yahoo Messenger with their status still being Idle throughout the conversation? If you haven’t and if you want to emulate this scenario or if you have seen your friends in idle and still wondering then you have to try the software called PIDGIN. Its free, you can add as many ID’s you want and chat with friends from other domains simultaneously. Also for all Ubuntu users it comes pre-installed.
